Dear Members, Players and Supporters.

Firstly thank you for being apart of our great club. It’s been a privilege to be the President of a club that is headed to be the best in the east!

With the announcements that I have made over the last month or so, I can say I’m leaving this job, as President with the club is a fantastic position going forward.
To be able to have two junior synthetic pitches, with a synthetic senior pitch overlayed and a grass senior pitch we can really build on growing this club across all groups, junior and senior, male and female!
Also with the new purpose built senior change rooms designed with females at the forefront and also a redevelopment of the main club house to include better toilets for our disabled guests, new referees rooms, plus a gym / office area and storage, I couldn’t be prouder. The best part is that we have bipartisan support from both the Andrews Labor Government and also the Liberal/Nationals, so no matter whom you vote for, it’s happening. In fact both parties have made announcements that both will contribute $1.75 Million towards the projects. So thanks to both Labor and Liberal for supporting our great club and I look forward to seeing them down at the club over the coming years.

Thanks to Simon Scott and Sharon Mackey, without you two always being there, through the good and the bad, things always seemed to still get done, I wish you both the best in continuing to steer this club in the right direction. I thank the general committee as well, as everyone has done his or her bit to help.

To all our players (and parents),
It hasn’t been easy keeping everyone happy all the time. In fact it’s been enormously hard, no doubt there will be people who think things should be different, or I should of done something a different way, but, it’s impossible to make everyone in a club this size happy, but I have tried my best.
I do ask one thing of every member or parent, please think of what you can do to help this club. The committee is a tiny bunch of people that donate countless hours of their time to ensure you or you or your child gets to play a sport they love. So Please Help Out.
Every small job that a member puts their hand up to do or responds to a plea for help, means the executive committee and general committee can spend more time on running the club. That could be from helping in the canteen, marking the pitches, fixing the leaky tap, it all takes time and if no one helps, it costs money. So it’s not only about helping the club, its also keeping fees down.

Sponsors, We have some of the best sponsors around. From McDonalds in Croydon (also Stud Park, Knox City and Boronia), Angel Dental (Kilsyth, Rowville and Forest Hill), Bendigo Bank (Mooroolbark), we have it all covered. Methvens and GLN both have been supporting us for over 10 years. Also new comers like Mayerlings and Croydon Toyota. I cant name them all but please use them first ‘cause without them, we’re going no where.

Lastly and most importantly, my family. Thanks hugely to my Wife Mel, she has put up with a lot. From being absent hours night after night, attending the Club, Committee Meetings, Meeting with the Council and the Politicians from both parties, it hasn’t been easy on her. So I really do want to thank Mel.

I will still be around the club, I will continue to work with the Council and Governments on ensuring these redevelopments remain on track, and also to see this, ‘my mission’ completed.

Once again, Thanks to everyone for being apart of this great club.
